I memorize God's word to be armed for temptation. Psalm 119:11 NKJV

I want to do right because I love God. Romans 8:3-9 NKJV

God's word lights my way and guides me. Psalm 119:105 NKJV

My goal is to know so many verses by memory that when I am tempted, discouraged and frustrated, God's word will be sparkling off in my brain. I would like to be able to have a Bible verse with reference for every situation I find myself in. God's word is my best defense against Satan's attacks. Our society offers a billion excuses and accommodations for sin.

Taking Christ's name, as a Christian, I desire to live out my gratefulness. My forgiveness and freedom has been bought with the precious blood of Jesus. It's what God wanted. No one else could do something so wonderful.

The law of the Old Testament and the scriptures are the light on what the world offers. Being able to draw on memorized pieces reminds me how God loves me and wants the best for me. I want my life to be light in this dark world. The sparklers are verses that guide me. God's word so filling my life that it spills out in every conversation and affects my actions is like an awesome fireworks show. It looks like a beautiful, happy life.
